The NCAA Division II Championships Committee has selected the McKinney ISD Stadium and Community Event Center to host the 2018 NCAA Division II Football Championship.
McKinney North Principal Jae Gaskill is the TASSP Region 10 Outstanding High School Principal of the Year
McKinney North High School Principal Jae Gaskill has been chosen by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals as the Region 10 Outstanding High School Principal of the Year. She will represent the region in the TASSP State Principal of the Year this summer.
Mark of Excellence: Four MISD Ensembles Earn National and State Recognition from the Foundation for Music Education
The Dowell Middle School Wind Ensemble and the Faubion Middle School Honors Orchestra have been named 2018 National Winners in the Foundation for Music Education Mark of Excellence program, and the McKinney Boyd High School Consortium Orchestra has been named a 2018 Commended Winner in the Mark of Excellence. In addition, the McKinney North High School Symphonic Band has earned top recognition from the Foundation at the state level as a Citation of Excellence Winner for 2018.
