The first day of the 2019–2020 school year is almost here!

McKinney, Texas – As the last few days of summer vacation melt away in the August heat, McKinney ISD teachers officially return to campus this week for the final ramp up to the first day of school on August 15.

Many of them have already been quite busy throughout the summer months, working on professional development, curriculum planning and a host of other details in preparation for the 2019–2020 school year.

And for the past few weeks, many parents have turned their attention to back-to-school matters, getting ready to launch their kids into a new year of learning.

If you haven’t started, now is the time.

The “Fall in MISD” section of the “Parents” page on the MISD website provides helpful information regarding steps parents need to take to make sure their children are enrolled and ready to start the first day of school.

If you have questions for which you cannot find an answer on the website, contact your child’s campus for more information.

We can’t wait to see you on August 15!
