Players from McKinney Chupacabras FC visited Faubion Middle School on Tuesday to serve as guest judges for a 6th-grade World Cultures team project connecting the upcoming FIFA World Cup with local sports management. The project called on students to act as design executives by incorporating diverse cultural elements into team logos displayed on custom merchandise.
Chupacabras players Ty Reynolds, Dylan Culbertson, Cole Ramsey and Brayden Beason talked with each group about their project and chose the top three — Argentina, New Zealand and Ecuador — based on how effectively and accurately they integrated international cultural heritage into modern sports marketing.
And, last week, in celebration of this community partnership, the Chupacabras provided free tickets to Faubion to their home game against the Denton Diablos this past Saturday. The Chupacabras won 2-1! In fact, Chupacabras players have visited every McKinney ISD elementary PE class over the past two weeks to offer complimentary tickets, meet the kids and promote healthy physical activity.
Thank you, McKinney Chupacabras, for supporting our students!
