Temporary Worker Opportunities

Throughout each school year McKinney Independent School District may have the following temporary worker opportunities:

  • Club 360 Childcare and After School Program Workers
  • Crossing Guards
  • Lifeguards and Swim Instructors
  • Parking Lot Attendants
  • Student Event Workers (Light and Sound Technicians)
  • Summer Maintenance
  • Tutors (AVID, Campus, Vento)
  • Other temporary positions requested by campuses or departments

McKinney ISD processes temporary worker applications based on district needs.
All temporary worker applications must be submitted through the online application system. A Paraprofessional application is required for all temporary worker positions except Crossing Guards and Summer Maintenance workers who submit an Auxiliary application for consideration. In order for an application file to be considered complete, the following must be on file:

  • Resume
  • Educator certificate or licensure, if applicable
  • Proof of education (college transcript and/or high school diploma/GED)
  • Three references, including at least one from a current or most recent employer

All applicants for employment with McKinney ISD agree to a background check prior to beginning employment. Employment applicants who are minors, 17 years of age or younger, must submit the Parent / Legal Guardian Authorization for Criminal Background Check form. Click here to access the form.

Applicants selected as employment candidates are required by state law to be fingerprinted. The district provides fingerprinting services onsite at the Administration building, One Duvall Street, McKinney, TX 75069. The fingerprinting cost is approximately $50, paid by the applicant.

Employment candidates previously fingerprinted prior to June 1, 2015 are required to be reprinted. The cost of reprinting is approximately $37, paid by the applicant.
