Substitute Reactivation

Welcome to the 2020-2021 Online Substitute Reactivation!

As a McKinney ISD substitute you are a crucial part of our team. We cannot thank you enough for your dedication to the students and staff throughout the 2019-2020 school year as well as your understanding and patience while we maneuvered uncharted waters as we closed out the year. We are optimistic about the coming year and we are looking forward to working with each of you.

The information and links needed to complete the Substitute Reactivation may be found below. Those who complete the training and return the required documents by the deadline will remain active in the substitute management system for the 2020-2021 school year.

Employment will be terminated for those who do not complete the reactivation process by the deadline.

Substitute reactivation deadline extended to Sunday, June 14, 2020.

Required Training

SafeSchools Training

  • Cybersecurity
  • Seizure Training for School Personnel

Email notification will be sent to your district email from SafeSchools with the link to SafeSchools and the list of assigned courses. Deadline to complete these courses is May 29, 2020. Click here to login to SafeSchools and complete the training. Your login is the same one you use to access your district email. Contact the Help Desk at support@mckinneyisd.net if you need assistance. Retain the completion certificate for both courses to send to HR.

**New** For 2020 School Year

We are excited to announce McKinney ISD’s new substitute management system, TimeClock Plus. This will consolidate the substitute and time clock systems which results in greater efficiency and accuracy as it relates to substitute assignments and pay. In addition to accessing TimeClock Plus on your laptop or desktop computer, you will now have access to the TimeClock Plus App where you can manage your assignments, enter your availability and receive notifications, all via your smart device. Also, McKinney ISD substitutes will clock IN and OUT at the wall mounted time clock located at each campus.

The absence management module of TimeClock Plus is still under construction. When available later this summer, you will receive an email with a training video, information about the TimeClock Plus app and how to clock in and out.

Continue to monitor your district email for important information about next school year.

McKinney ISD will discontinue the use of SmartFind Express when TimeClock Plus for substitutes has been implemented.

Reactivation Checklist

You are almost done! Your reactivation is complete after you have scanned and emailed the following documents to substitute@mckinneyisd.net. You will receive email acknowledgement upon receipt. Keep a copy of all documents for your records.

2020-21 Substitute Badge

At this time, we will not be issuing new substitute ID badges for the 2020-2021 school year. Continue to use your current (brown) McKinney ISD badge for the coming year.
