2019-20 New Student Enrollment

A student is considered a New Student if he or she was not enrolled in a McKinney ISD school on the last day of the prior school year. New students to the district can complete the online registration form by creating an account with InfoSnap, or by visiting the school the student is zoned for, which can be determined by using the School Locator.

To register your child for the 2019-20 school year, please read and complete the following steps:

  1. Complete the online registration form
  2. Gather the required documents
  3. Contact your child’s future school to finalize the registration process. Required documents must be presented in-person during the specified times listed below.

Step 1: Complete the Online Form

First, create an account with InfoSnap. You will then be prompted to enter basic information regarding your child.

  • How do I begin?

    Follow the link above and select “Create Account” on the left. Enter your email address, name and phone number and create a password for your account. Remember the email address and password associated with your account. McKinney ISD utilizes Infosnap each year to update information on students returning to our schools. Parents will utilize the same email address and password in future years to sign-in if they previously set up an account.

  • Where can I turn for help with Infosnap?

    If you experience technical issues completing the online form in Infosnap, you may contact the Infosnap support line at 866-752-6850 or email support@infosnap.com. Additional technical information is available online on PowerSchool’s website available here. If you forget the user credentials, you may have them e-mailed to you and/or use security questions set up previously to retrieve that information. You may also contact MISD technical support at 469-302-4048.

    If you have general questions regarding the enrollment process, please contact your child’s future school.

  • I’ve already finished the online form, but I need to make a change to my information.

    If you have already submitted the form, please download the Change of Information Form. Fill out the form and return it to your child’s campus.

  • My question isn’t listed here. Who can I contact?

    Please contact your child’s future campus. Not sure which school your student/s are zoned to attend? Search your address or check zones by map, street name or subdivision.

Step 2: Gather the Required Documents

McKinney ISD requires a parent or guardian to provide additional paperwork and proof of residency to your child’s campus. Please present the following documents to your child’s campus to complete the registration process:

  • Proof of Residency – Must be a current utility bill ( gas, water or electric), a house contract (with a closing date and signatures), or a lease agreement with signatures. If a house contract or lease agreement is used, a current utility must be presented within 30 days to your campus registrar. If the closing or moving date is after September 15 of the current school year, monthly tuition payments shall be made until the closing date per MISD Board Policy FDA(LOCAL).
  • Student’s social security card (optional)
  • Student’s birth certificate
  • Updated shot records
  • Secondary students should have a copy of their transcripts when registering

Step 3: Finalize the Registration Process

Once you have completed the online registration form and gathered the required documents, please contact the campus to finalize the registration process for the 2019-20 school year.

New student registration for 2019-20 KG – 5th graders opens on May 1, 2019. The registration forms for the 2019-20 school year will become available on April 22, 2019. If you complete the forms prior to this date, you will be asked to redo this process.
