District Created End of Semester Exams

The district End-of-Semester Exams are creating through a partnership between Curriculum staff in the content areas and our strongest academic area teachers. The exams are given at the end of each semester, Fall and Spring, to Grades 6 through 12 students in the academic course areas including English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. The content of the exams is based on the curriculum for each course during the semester and follows the rigor and expectations included in the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, or TEKS, required for each course. The format of the test is largely multiple choice to allow for faster scoring of the majority of the tests, with some portions of the tests including other types of testing formats that are hand-scored by classroom teachers.
