At their January 2021 meeting, the McKinney ISD Board of Trustees called for an election in May that will include four ballot items: an Attendance Credit Election, a Voter Approval Tax Rate Election, a $245 million school bond election and a $30 million technology bond program.
MISD Board of Trustees Lowers Property Tax Rate by 18.5 Cents
The McKinney ISD Board of Trustees approved an M&O tax rate of $0.7575 per $100 of assessed value, and an I&S rate of $0.37 per $100 of assessed value, resulting in a total tax rate of $1.1275 for the 2023–2024 fiscal year—an 18.5 cent decrease compared to the previous year’s tax rate.
