MISD Elementary and Secondary schools achieve Level 1 certification in Marzano High Reliability Schools Program
McKinney, Texas - McKinney ISD is pleased to announce that every MISD elementary and secondary school has achieved Level 1 certification in the Marzano High Reliability Schools™ (HRS) program.
McKinney, Texas - On January 20, 2017, thirty-two McKinney ISD 8th graders, their teachers and three McKinney Boyd High School seniors stood bundled up against the cold among the multitude gathered on the National Mall and watched as Donald J. Trump took the oath of office to formally become the 45th president of the United States.
And, even though the students from MISD didn’t all share the same political views, it was a rare opportunity for them to step beyond the classroom and witness our government’s peaceful transition of power firsthand.

McKinney, Texas – With sunlight rolling back the clouds on a chilly morning in December, McKinney ISD Superintendent Dr. Rick McDaniel, members of the MISD Board of Trustees and McKinney Mayor Brian Loughmiller donned hard hats and hoisted shovels to officially break ground on the new MISD Stadium and Community Event Center while a crowd of city officials, student representatives and other distinguished guests looked on.

With A+ Rating, MISD Ranks Among Top Districts in D/FW, Texas and Nation on Best Overall List from Niche
McKinney, Texas - For the 2017 Niche Best School Districts list, MISD received an overall rating of “A+,” ranking 10th in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and 22nd among the 937 Texas school districts assessed by the company. Those results placed the district in the top 2 percent in Texas and among high-performing districts such as Highland Park, Coppell, Plano, Southlake Carroll, Lovejoy, Allen and Prosper.
On a national level, MISD landed in the top 4 percent of the 10,364 districts across the country that were examined by Niche.
