Caldwell Elementary School, Dual|MINUS|Language Parent Information Meetings

 

Caldwell Elementary will offer a dual-language program for kindergarten students beginning in the 2010-2011 school year.  The goal of this program is to enable students to realize the many benefits of bilingualism.  Students will be taught all academic content in two languages (English and Spanish).  If you would like more information regarding this program please attend one of the following meeting dates.

April 29, Boyd H.S. Cafeteria 6-7 p.m.
May 4, Faubion Middle School Auditorium 6-7 p.m.
May 10, Public Housing Authority Community Center at 1200 N. Tennessee 6-7 p.m.
 
La escuela primaria Caldwell ofrecerá un programa de dos idiomas para los estudiantes de kindergarten empezando en el año escolar 2010-2011.  La meta de este programa es proveer a los estudiantes la oportunidad de realizar los benficios del bilinguismo.  Los estudiantes recibirán instruccion academico en ambos idiomas, ingles y español.  Si usted quiere más información acerca del programa, favor de asistir una de las siguientes juntas informativas.

Chief among these potential sources of persistent imbalances is education funding. As we have said for the past four years, the school finance reforms that the legislature approved in 2006 created a long-term source of budget pressure for the state, in our opinion."
