McKinney ISD Graduation Ceremonies Bring 2016-2017 to a Close
On Friday, June 2, McKinney ISD administrators, staff and the Board of Trustees welcomed the family and friends of nearly 1,700 MISD seniors from McKinney Boyd High School, McKinney High School and McKinney North High School to celebrate and honor their students as they received their diplomas and officially became MISD graduates.

The day’s commencement exercises began with McKinney High School at 10 a.m., continued with McKinney North at 2:30 p.m. and concluded with McKinney Boyd that evening.
As each graduate made his or her way across the stage shaking the hands of board members and administrators and posing for pictures, they arrived at the end of a 13-year journey—and stepped into a completely new adventure.
In August, that journey will begin anew for hundreds of kindergartners as they arrive at elementary campuses across the district filled with hope and excitement and wonder at the possibilities that lie ahead. And, years later, when it’s their turn to walk out the doors of Boyd, MHS or North for the final time, they’ll do so carrying more than a decade’s worth of memories, successes and failures and lessons learned—and many of them will think they have finally arrived at their destination.
But, once you cross that stage at graduation, the adventure is really just getting started.
To the 2017 graduates of McKinney ISD, we wish you all the best in your journey. And, may it be a grand adventure.
