Student Transfers

When reviewing petitions for student transfers, McKinney ISD will consider each request on an individual basis; however, the guidelines below are in place to ensure consistency in our process. The transfer petitions will be considered by the Board’s designee within 30 business days of their receipt. Transfer petitions for residents that moved in after the due date will be accepted and considered on an individual basis.

McKinney ISD Student Transfer Petitions for the 2017-18 school year were available on this page from February 1 – February 28, 2017.

McKinney ISD Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) Transfer Requests will continue to be available through May 31, 2017.

Please Note: McKinney ISD will not offer open-enrollment at any McKinney ISD campus (Elementary, Middle School or High School) for the 2017-18 school year.
