Substitute Teaching
Applications for substitute teaching are accepted throughout the
year. All applications must be submitted through our online
application system. To be considered as a substitute
candidate, complete a Professional employment application and select SUBSTITUTE as one of your employment preferences
on your application. Click

In order for your substitute application file to
be considered complete, the following must be on file:

Resume
-
Teaching Certificate, if applicable

College Transcript or High School Diploma
-
Three letters of recommendation, one from a
current or previous employer
Applications will be reviewed by the Substitute Coordinator. Applicants selected as substitutes are required
to attend a substitute orientation. The orientation is designed to
familiarize you with district policies, procedures, expectations and
your responsibilities.
McKinney ISD requires all substitutes to be at
least 21 years of age.

Substitutes for Professional and Paraprofessional Positions
$80.00
- Certified Teacher from any state
$75.00
- Bachelors degree or higher
$65.00
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Substitute Nurses
$80.00
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
