McKinney CAN- Community Action Network

McKinney CAN (Community Action Network) is an exciting new program that involves parents and community members in a year-long dialogue with the school district. In 10 monthly sessions throughout the year, McKinney CAN participants go behind the scenes for an in-depth look at your community school district.

McKinney CAN includes several classes that give MISD citizens a look into the inner workings of McKinney ISD. The district is hopeful that class participants will graduate with a better understanding of the challenges facing Texas public schools and a new perspective on McKinney ISD. Sessions focus on specific areas of district operations, including curriculum and instruction, support services, school finance, and much more.
