McKinney ISD Launches Video
Streaming on District Website |

McKinney ISD launched video streaming on the
district website on Wednesday, May 7. Visitors to the district
website can watch videos produced by the MISD Communications
department as well as a variety of programs including Campus
Road Trip, Inside McKinney ISD and Sports Talk. In addition,
visitors can also watch the MET, McKinney ISD Cable Channel 98
live on their computer. Click

Diploma |

McKinney ISD employees who have children
graduating this year will be allowed to hand their children
their diplomas during graduation ceremonies. Contact the
following people at the appropriate school to make arrangements
to hand your child their diploma on graduation day:

Choir will present Extravaganza 2008 Academy Awards on Friday,
May 9 at 7 p.m. in the McKinney North High School Auditorium.
The concert is free and open to the public and donations will be

You're a Good Man Charlie Brown May 8 through May 10 in the
McKinney High School Black Box Theatre. Show times are 7:30 p.m.
and there will be a matinee performance on Saturday, May 10 at 2

Music Department will host their annual Porch Concert on

McKinney High School to Present The Dining Room |

The McKinney High School Golden
Mane Theatre will present The Dining Room, by A.R. Gurney May 22
through May 24 in the auditorium at McKinney High School. All
shows begin at 7:30 p.m. and there will be a matinee show on
Saturday, May 24 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 at the door and a can
food drive will be held. If you bring 10 cans of food, your
ticket is free. |

Project Graduation Scheduled to Begin on
Friday, June 6 |

Project
Graduation 2008 NEEDS YOU ! Organizers of Project Graduation are
short on our fundraising goal for this year's event. The group
needs to raise another $25,000 for the event that provides a
safe celebrating environment for all McKinney ISD 2008
graduates. Companies and sponsors that donate a minimum of
$1,000 will be a STAR sponsor and get great media benefits.
Pledges made by May 1 will be included on the back of the 1,500
t-shirts to be handed out to all the graduating seniors and
volunteers. In addition, the organizers state that at least 300
adult volunteers are also need to hold the event. Complete

Plano ISD Teachers Team Up to Teach
With Jamaica |

Teachers from McKinney ISD and Plano ISD are
joining forces to provide training, materials and teacher
resources for 60 schools in western Jamaica involving elementary
and secondary reading, math and special education. The
organization, known as Teach with Jamaica, includes four
McKinney ISD teachers and administrators and seven Plano ISD
employees who are working together to help improve the quality
of education for students in western Jamaica. Click

Advanced Financial Strategies
Financial Planning Dinner/Meeting |

Advanced Financial Strategies is holding a
financial planning dinner/meeting for teachers on Tuesday, May
13 at the Golden Corral Buffet & Grill at 475 S. Central
Expressway at 6:30 p.m. Dinner is free and there will be a 20
minute educational program filled with information especially
for Texas Teachers. It is the first step to completing your

Planning Seminar - May 21 |

Region 10 Education Service Center will host a
free Retirement Planning Seminar to any employee of a Region 10
District on Wednesday, May 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the Region 10

Club 360° Announces
Parent's Night Out Dates |

Club 360° recently announced the Parent's
Night Out dates for the remainder of the 2007-2008 school year. All of the
Parent's Night Out events will be held at Evans Middle School and are open to
children up to 8th grade who can use the bathroom independently. Friday Night
Parent Night Out events are $15 per child, $30 max per family. Dinner and
activities are included. Children do not need to be members of the Club 360°
