Michael Puhl currently serves in Place 4 of the Board of Trustees, and also as the Board of Trustees Secretary. Mr. Puhl is an attorney at the Law Firm of Loughmiller and Puhl LLP. He has practiced family law for more than 24 years. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois.

Mr. Puhl is married to wife, Susan, and is the father of two children. Both his daughter and son attended schools in McKinney ISD.

Mr. Puhl believes the greatest challenge of the district is to provide a superior educational opportunity for all students regardless of their background or socio-economic status. We must also provide a quality atmosphere within which our teachers and staff can deliver academic excellence and teach our students valuable life lessons. To do so is to truly provide quality without question. Michael is proud to serve on a board with a unified vision of providing a quality education for every
student.

Mr. Puhl is also active in other arenas including service as a liaison member of the Board of Directors for the McKinney Economic Development Corporation. In addition, in 2006 he was appointed by Governor Perry to serve as a member of the Texas Board of Examiners for Marriage and Family Therapists. He serves on the Executive Board of Practical Parent Education and has also served on the board of trustees for the Lincoln-Way District #210 (Illinois) Board of Education, Starfish Foundation, Family Services of Plano, Collin County Bar and Plano Bar Associations, and the Collin County Bench/Bar Foundation.
