Mark Rude has been a resident of McKinney for 17 years. He and his wife Cris have been married for 20 years and have three daughters, all of which attend schools in the McKinney Independent School District.

Mr. Rude received his undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Baylor University. He is currently employed by Countrywide Home Loans as a Senior Vice President of Sales Operations. Prior to joining Countrywide, Rude was employed by AEGON Direct Marketing Services, serving the capacities of Senior Vice President of Marketing and Chief Information Officer. In addition to being on the McKinney ISD Board of Trustees, Rude has also served on the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity of South Collin County.

Mr. Rude’s desire to serve on the Board of Trustees stems from his interest in providing every child in McKinney ISD an excellent education. He states that his primary goals are to focus on measurably improving the quality of instruction every year, providing a well-rounded education, and to achieve these outcomes while demonstrating good stewardship and accountability to the taxpayers on how education dollars are spent.
