McKinney Independent School
District Board of Trustees President, Geralyn Kever, has
served on the board for five years. She has a Bachelor of
Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master of
Arts degree in International Management. She has been a
community volunteer since 1986. Kever’s passion for
education and children and her desire to give back to her
community inspired her to run for the MISD School Board
election. She feels that education is an asset that
eliminates entry barriers and open doors for all children.
She is a strong believer that all children can learn.
Kever’s goals for MISD next year are to provide MISD
students with the necessary tools for continued success, to
effectively build partnerships throughout the community, and
to educate the general public about the district’s financial
issues.
Kever is proud of the great academic success the district
has achieved despite significant growth. She feels this is a
testimony to the talented leadership of the administrative
team, the ability of the Superintendent to effectively
orchestrate and implement the mission of the board and the
consistent focus the board maintains to support policies and
decisions that work toward a common goal – providing an
excellent education which challenges each student and
employee to reach their potential.
Kever has a very supportive
husband, Mark and three great children, Megan, Matt, and
Erin. |
