McKinney Boyd High School

McKinney Boyd High School is the McKinney Independent School District's third high school. Located on Lake Forest Blvd. just north of Virginia Parkway, the school opened in August of 2006 with students in grades 9, 10 and 11.

Boyd High School is scheduled to be completed in two phases. Phase I, completed in August 2006, was built to accommodate 1,500 students. Phase II, scheduled to be completed in 2008, will expand the school to accommodate up to 3,000 students.

Rick McDaniel is the principal at McKinney Boyd High School. He joined McKinney ISD in the fall of 2005. Prior to coming to the district, Mr. McDaniel served as the principal of Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, Texas for more than two years. He received an Associate of Arts Degree from Kilgore College, a Bachelor of Science Degree from Stephen F. Austin College and a Masters in Education from the University of Texas at Tyler.

Parking at McKinney Boyd High School

Parking Decals may be purchased on August 18th and August 19th from 9:00 – 11:30 and 1:00 - 3:00 in the main entrance hallway. Parking Decals may also be purchased on the first two days of school in the cafeteria during all lunch periods. During the remainder of the school year, Parking Decals may be purchased in J-207 during lunch.
