As the new Instructional Specialist at Webb Elementary, I am seeing just how priviledged I am to be a part of such a great team of educators and students. At Webb, teachers are noticeably excited about making a positive impact in the academic lives of their students. As an educator of over eleven years, I can sincerely appreciate the success this attitude generates. Serving on a team this dedicated to enriching students' lives has really "caught me up" in the genuine Webb enthusiasm.
After teaching in grades Pre-K through sixth, I had the opportunity to go back and specialize. While my Bachelor's work, certifications and graduate degrees have given me formal training in concepts of education, it is the time with kids that has equipped me to facilitate student learning and encourage teacher growth.
While white water rafting in the Rockies, I was completely caught up in the thrill and beauty of the great outdoors. Such memorable experiences lodge vividly in our minds. Our efforts to motivate each other and our students are indispensable. Our teaching reflects our passion for reading, movies, swimming, and life. People are uniquely different. But we can all grow to love art, music, literature, language, and even math.
The people of our community are expectantly investing their hard-earned resources in our program. When they see the dividends, may they too be caught up in the Webb enthusiasm that makes our work so worthwhile.
