BROADCASTING
Broadcasting is a complicated, creative, time-consuming process. However, this job is one of the most rewarding. The work these students do affects every student at McKinney High School. Students will produce a TV show. They cover the news of the year pertaining to the school, its students, faculty and community, while educating, informing and entertaining viewers.

They are responsible for story ideas, writing stories, conducting interviews, using video cameras, editing tape, writing news scripts, and creating computer graphics. Our show will air every other Friday running 15 to 20 minutes in length. Each person or group will have a specific job for each show.

We also take trips together as a family. This year we will travel to San Antonio, Philadelphia, New York City, and Anaheim to compete with other student-produced broadcast news shows around the country.

RACQUETBALL CLUB
The racquetball club exists to provide elementary training and participation in the sport of racquetball.

Racquetball is often been affectionately referred to as "tennis in a box." While this description does have some truth, at the higher levels racquetball is a much faster paced game than tennis. The sport boasts players of all ages and body types. A quick and agile player is often outclassed by a slower opponent with good shot placement.

The MHS Racquetball Club meets one day a week (To Be Determined) at a location off campus, likely the McKinney Rec Center or a local church with racquetball facilities. Transportation is not provided. Equipment is not provided, although loaner gear is available at some venues. Starter packages are available from local retail stores starting around $20. Eye protection is required!
