Text Box: About the Evans LMC Text Box: Welcome to the Library Media Center at Leonard Evans Middle School. Our collection includes a wide variety of resources, both print and electronic, to support the needs of our students, staff and families.   The Facility: The Evans LMC opened in August 2004 with a collection of more than 11,000 books. It is a center for research, creation, and productivity at Evans Middle School. We currently serve more than 1200 students in grades 6-8. Our collection includes over 14,000 books, magazines, audiovisual materials, and equipment for checkout. We subscribe to 25+ periodicals in paper format. Additional full text magazines can be accessed through EBSCO .The Evans Library has an automated circulation system and online catalog with direct access to the Internet. Videos, DVDs, the bell system, and satellite television are all controlled through a centralized media retrieval system located in  the Library Media Center.   Mission Statement: Click here to read the MISD Libraries Mission Statement   Hours: 7:30 - 3:30 Monday - Friday The LMC closes at 3:00 on Wednesdays when there is a staff meeting.
