Harvey Oaxaca is the
principal of the McKinney Learning Center which is comprised
of the LINC Center (a self-paced program designed to help
students credit deficient or non-traditional students), the
District Alternative Education Program (DAEP – alternative
education placement), Juvenile Justice Alternative Education
Program (JJAEP), the GED center, and the County Residential
Center (CRC).
Prior to serving as the Director
of Administrative Services, Mr. Oaxaca served as the
Director of the ESL/Bilingual Services/and Career and
Technology Education program. He also served as the
Principal of Faubion Middle School for nine years and
Assistant Principal of the school for two years. He has
taught and coached at Naaman Forest High School (Garland),
at McMurry University, at Levelland High School, at
Sweetwater High School, at McCullough High School (Conroe),
and at Jefferson High School (Abilene). In 2006, Oaxaca was
inducted into the McMurry University Athletic Hall of Honor,
where he played football during college. Mr. Oaxaca earned a
Master of Education Administration from Texas A&M University
– Commerce, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from
McMurry University. |
