Stewart Herrington served as an Assistant Principal at North
Garland High School for the past eight years. He also served
as the administrative coordinator of the school’s Math,
Science, and Technology Magnet Program. North Garland High
School enrolls over 2,200 students. Currently, McKinney High
School enrolls over 1,800 students.
Prior to serving at North Garland High School, Herrington
was Assistant Principal of Webb Middle School in Garland
ISD. He taught for over ten years in a variety of math
subjects, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, and AP
Calculus. His experience also includes serving as an
assistant baseball coach, cheerleading sponsor, and student
council sponsor.
As Assistant Principal at North Garland he has worked
closely with student TAKS preparation and remediation, with
particular expertise in the areas of math and science. In
addition, Mr. Herrington served as the Campus Technology
Coordinator, overseeing the implementation of campus
technology and working with teachers to implement technology
into the lesson cycle. One of his primary responsibilities
also includes resolution of discipline and attendance
issues.
Mr. Herrington earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical
Education from the University of North Texas. He earned a
Master of Education in Secondary Education, as well as a
Master of Education in Educational Administration from the
University of North Texas. |
