Deborah Kanar
began her career in education in 1991 as a music specialist
at Suwanee Elementary School in Suwanee, Georgia. She was
the music specialist at Snellville Middle School in
Snellville, Georgia and at Magill Elementary School in
Loganville, Georgia. In 1996 Kanar served as the assistant
principal at Magill before moving to McKinney in 2001 to be
the assistant principal at Walker Elementary School. She
received her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State
University and her master’s of education degree from the
University of Georgia.
