McGowen BACK TO SCHOOL Night
Thursday, August 21st 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.
During back to school night all class lists will be posted in the main foyer starting at 6:00 p.m.. You will be able to tour the school, meet the teachers, pick up pre-ordered school supply packs in the gym, and purchase this years school Spirit Wear.

School begins Monday, August 25th
Please note the new school hours: 8:45 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
Students will not be permitted on campus prior to 8:15 a.m.

Mr. Forsyth has served as the principal of the Richardson ISD Math/Science/Technology Magnet Elementary School for the past three years. Prior to Richardson ISD MST Magnet, he served as the assistant principal at Northlake Elementary School in Richardson. He also served as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher for six years at Peeler Elementary School - Dallas Public Schools. Mr. Forsyth has over 12 years of experience in education.

Mr. Forsyth earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Baylor University. He received a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University at Commerce. Under his direction, Richardson ISD MST Magnet was named to the Texas Business and Education Coalition (TBEC) Honor Roll List, was the only RISD school to receive the Superintendent’s Gold Medallion Award in consecutive years, and received TEA Gold Performance Acknowledgements in commended performance in math, science, and writing, and comparable improvement in math and science.
